Viaje Plus = Delicious & Highly Affordable

When I saw the menu of Viaje Plus, I recognized the usual favorites we would see at high-end restaurants. The only big difference was that the prices were way low and the quality was not compromised.

The restaurant opened this year two months before the quarantine. When the pandemic happened, they donated packed meals to the frontliners. Now, they are serving affordable meals at a karinderia setting.

Laing (P120)

Gising gising (P120)

Mongolian Wagyu Beef and Broccoli (P205)

Teriyaki Prawn (P129/stick)

Veggie Lumpia

Pork Barbeque (P30/per stick)

 Batangas Bulalo (P120 Solo/P295 Sharing)

Fried Boneless Bangus (P190)

Halo Halo

When any of their ulam makes you crave for rice, just add P15 for white rice. The best part about all the food above is that they are cooked right in front of you as they have an open kitchen. You certainly have no complaints as the only thing left to do is to enjoy the food.

Vegan Comfort Food at Green Bar

My journey to being a full-fledged vegan is getting there. I am no longer eating chicken, pork, and beef. I also eat mostly at vegan restaurants which is why I am always on the lookout for good ones in the metro. It does not even matter if it is a bit far from me. What matters is they serve good Vegan food and I found that in Green Bar.

 Banana Pineapple Coconut Smoothie (P205)

I loved the combination between the three fruits in this smoothie. This smoothie is extremely addicting and it is not like most smoothies that will leave you coughing. Instead, it will leave you wanting a lot more.

Chickun Wings (P349)

The dish I really wanted to try was at Green Bar was their Chickun Wings. When I first tried it, I really have to compliment the person who came up with the recipe. It really tastes like Frankie's but without any chickens harmed. I really find it unfair how most people treat some animals like chickens poorly and some animals like dogs nicely. Don't forget to dip it into the sauce and combine it with rice or pasta.

 Breakfast Burrito (P349)

This burrito is full of stuff that I want for breakfast including tofu, seitan sausage, and spinach. The mild salsa goes great with it too.

Vegan Donut (P75)

One of my baby steps in going Vegan is to #ditchdairy. We all know by now that cows are used like machines to produce milk which is not good by any means. It is great how Green Bar has vegan donuts and it is no surprise how it is always sold out. In fact, I was lucky enough to land the last one when I got there. I guess me and that donut were meant to be. I l loved it too.
