Eats so Good Debuts at The Spectrum Fair


At Team Aldous, (despite the name of the blogger group) we are all about supporting each other. When Team Aldous' Eager Beaver, Monse decided to have a booth at the Spectrum Fair, me and a bunch of bloggers from my squad came to support her. Her booth was a huge success as her food was sold out on both dates of the event held at White Space.

Classic Caesar Salad (P150)

I arrived late on Valentine's Eve and was lucky enough to have the last salad and pasta dish. My date and I absolutely loved both dishes and we both agreed it was only a matter of time before they will succeed if ever they decide to put up a restaurant. My date commented that they did not take it easy on their ingredients, they definitely went all out in terms of quality and that helped a lot in the quality of the food.

The Country's First Ever #paywhatyouwant promo at Pound by Todd English


If you haven't heard of Todd English, he is one fellow you are going to be used to seeing often since we were at the opening of the newest restaurant Pound by Todd English at B3, Bonifacio High Street and the owners are planning to open 30 restaurants. After tasting their food, I'm actually glad that it is happening. Another good news is the fact that they are a #paywhatyouwant promo until February 10 for their burgers except the Pound Burger. 

What this means is that you can order as much burgers as you want from 11AM to 2PM and 6PM to 9PM and pay whatever you want. Yep, bring out the piggy banks! Do you remember that $100 bill that had your face on it and you thought you won't be able to use it anymore? Well, now is the time to use it.


Truffled French Beans (P120)


It is not in the menu but I loved the fact that these french beans were fried to a crisp. It is a great dish to pair up with their lovely burgers.

The Poutines are all good and if you would ask me to pick a favorite, I would have to phone a friend because that is going to be one tough decision. All of them had fresh cut fries and cheese but The Bacon Poutine gave the best impression though as it had honeycured bacon as well. Like they say, anything with bacon is great.


T.E. Slider (P155)

If a burger is named after Todd English then you have to expect it to be good. Well guess what, it damn sure is. This delightful treat contains tomato, iceberg lettuce, mustard relish, house ground beef patty and crispy onion that is so crispy it can already be classified as onion rings.


Crispy Chicken Sliders (P195)

The presentation of each burger is in a small container but that does not mean the serving is small. As a matter of fact, it is huge and the prices are pretty affordable for a restaurant that is in Bonifacio High Street. I'm no fortune teller but I can see the Crispy Chicken Sliders becoming one of their best sellers as it contains cilantro aioli, TE sweet sauce, crispy pickled slaw in brioche bun.


Pound Burger (P999)


Wow, what a winner this Pound Burger is. It is definitely not your average fast food double cheeseburger. It looks to literally have everything but the main highlights here are the 50g seared foie gras and foie gras mousse. The house ground beef patty, tomato, iceberg lettuce, crispy onion, mustard relish, caramelized onions and Todd English sauce make up the rest of the ingredients. This huge burger is good for sharing as if that wasn't obvious. Seriously, if its picture did not make you hungry then there is something wrong with you.



Bacon & Egg Sliders (P200)

This burger is simply good news to the breakfast meal fans out there. It is always a good thing to have freshly cooked bacon and sunny side up egg in a burger. It's a burger that's going to make you feel complete about it even though there are only two things in between the buns.


T.E. Sundae


The T.E. Sundae is such a lovely dessert that I felt really bad all four of us bloggers had to share one. I'm thinking that on another day I would have one all to myself and I would not care how much calories it contains. It actually has two brownies in the OMG Brownie and the Betty White Brownie but it would be hard to distinguish one from the other when the Vanilla Ice Cream melts so better dig in early.

Agape French Cuisine food comes Due Coeur




Agapa is Greek for love in the highest form so what's that got to do with a French restaurant? It is all about the story behind the making of this quaint place. It really depends on which blogger you ask since owner Jane Urvero unveiled its sweet beginnings to all of us so I am going to try my best to explain it. It all began once a upon a time in a city called New York (not the one in Cubao) when Jane donated her kidney to her daughter who was suffering from a terrible illness. When they came back to Manila, they decided to open Agape as all the dishes are coming straight from the heart. Agape is a nice place to hang out too as it has cozy interiors and fast WiFi connection.

Just like any long meal, we start off with salad. Their Green Salad with Pears is a healthy person's delight or at least someone who is pretending to live a healthy life. Unfortunately, I am neither but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

If there is anything better than a couple of Panizzas, it is THREE PANIZZAS. I loved all three panizzas served to us and my favorite is the Three Cheese & Herbs. The server tried to teach us how to properly eat a panizza but don't worry my good man! We already knew that. We were just too hungry to care.


Smoked Salmon BLT (P395)

Indeed, another dish that came straight Due Coeur or from the heart. With all the seafood dishes served to us tonight, it was a different type of seafood diet (when I see food I eat it).


Marie Gambasetti (P250)

This gambas pasta was so good that my only complaint is that it should have more shrimp. It had that flavor I was looking for in a pasta dish and that made me a happy camper.

Seared Salmon in Pineapple Salsa


In less than two weeks, it is Valentine's Day. For those who have a date (not me though =( ), this dish is available for a limited time only so choose to spend Heart's Day at Agape. The salmon was cooked just the way I liked it and it went perfectly with the potato wedges underneath.

Sardines in Oil (P200)



Dulce de Leche Tart, Choco Lava, Bon Bons


I thought it was Egg Tart but it was actually Dulce de Leche Tart as it became an instant favorite of mine. In fact, I ate two tarts by myself with the old trick of asking the other bloggers, "Gusto mo ba? Ay hinde, sige akin na lng".
