Indulge on the New Menu Items at Las Flores

I got to thank Las Flores owners Uri, Dani and Sergei for inviting me to the Wine Dinner Beronia as we got to sample the new items at Las Flores and the Beronia wine as well.  I was actually sitting beside the owner of Beronia and I told him how much I loved the wine.

The wines we had that time were Beronia Crianza 2010, Beronia Vinas Viejas 2010, Beronia Reserva 2009, Beronia Gran Reserva 2006 and Beronia III A.C. 2010.  They all had an effect on me as I was a little dizzy when the dinner was over.

We started the night off with Queso Idiazabal (P420) just as we started to get to know each other.  It was smoked cheese paired off with delicious bread.

The next appetizer was Lomo Iberico (P870) which was smoked meat.  It also came along with a couple of bread slices that had jam on top of it.

The Mousse De Foie Con Mango (P325) is such a unique dish.  It contained foie mousse, mango jam, aragula, caramelized dime nuts and crispy bread.  This is the type of appetizer that goes well with wine.

The Croquettas de Jamon Iberico (P225) is so crunchy on the outside and tasty on the inside.  It is one of those dishes you would crave for after a long day.

I really loved the Huevos Estrellados con Shiitake (P245).  It was fried potatoes with sunny side up egg topped with shiitake mushroom.  I think the combination of eggs, mushrooms and french fries is just too good to be true.

I was waiting for some paella and I got it in the form of Paella de Chorizo (P725).  Assorted chorizos were put in this paella and all of them were excellent.  This paella certainly had that flavor I am looking for in a paella.

The Secreto Iberico (P995) certainly went well with the paella.  It is Iberian Pork Secret with chickpeas sauce and basil extra virgin olive oil.  The meat was very tender and I really recommend this dish to meat lovers out there.

We ended the night with Chocolate Ganache with Extra Virgin Oil and Salt (P145).  This dessert sure made my day as the chocolate was so heavenly that it made me think I was in Cloud 9 all over again.

I did not expect to ever have dinner with Isabelle Daza and Solenn Heussaff and it just proves my theory that Las Flores is where a lot of first class people dine.
