Openrice Eat's a Date hosted a wonderful food event at Kimono Ken last week. It was very eventful with a meet and greet with corporate marketing head Emylou Tribiana. She took us on a wonderful journey towards the delightful food of Kimono Ken.
Gyoza (P150)
We started lunch off with gyoza. Nobody was complaining on this one. It is such a perfect appetizer to start the meal with.
Soboro Pork (P220)
I love it when a rice meal would have egg in the middle. That was exactly what happened with the soboro pork rice meal and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Futo Maki (P150)
Kani Salad (P200)
This had crabstick, lettuce and cucumber. I am not that big of a fan of crabstick but the other bloggers did tell me that they enjoyed the salad.
Chicken Teridon (P200)
This was chicken teriyaki on top of rice. I really love chicken teriyaki so it was no surprise how much I loved this dish.
Kimono Ken's Special (P75)
The Kimono Ken's Special is a mixture of different juices. It is exactly what I look for in a drink. I actually wanted a couple more of this drink.
Asparagus Mayo Spaghetti (P200)
Coffee Jelly (P90)
Banana Tempura Ala Mode (P120)
Both desert dishes really hit the spot. I enjoyed the banana tempura and I really love it when tempura is mixed with fruits and ice cream.
Overall, I really enjoyed sharing stories with fellow bloggers combined with the Japanese food of Kimono Ken. It was a very fruitful day to say the least.

I've heard this resto before I'm just not sure if we have it here. I love the food photos esp. the Futo Maki :D
The Kimono Ken special looked like four seasons juice drink. Did it taste like it? Tangy and at the same time sweet?
I also love dishes with raw egg in it -- and I would have to mix the egg yolk around and blend the taste to the rest of the entree. Just perfect. :D
followed them on instagram..:( drooling... the dish after futo maki?
