Bali Hai - A Different kind of Experience

Bali Hai Garden Restaurant has been operating for 3 years and they are still going strong.  They are usually reserved for occasions, rituals and even meditations.  The restaurant has the same concept with Indonesian restaurants except the materials are bought locally.  There are 2 owners (Lyvia Martinez and Nora Santoso) and one of them is the executive chef.

I was very thankful to be invited to this food tasting event because I have yet to try Indonesian food.  At the end of the day, we all enjoyed our food.

For appetizer, we were served tofu, vegetarian soto and sotanghon soup.  I really enjoyed the soup but it was quickly empty before we could say anything.

The main course dishes were worth the wait.  They were Ayam Goreng (fried chicken), Beef Lombong, Nasing Goreng Mix (fried rice), Kambing Curry, Bakmi Goreng Seafood (pancit) and Ayam Bakar (Chicken BBQ).  Out of all of them, the Ayam Bakar was the best since we all knew it was just cooked in the backyard of the restaurant.

Dessert came and it was the Sago Malaca.  It was very sweet so I enjoyed it very much.  Overall, we all enjoyed our trip here and we can't wait to get back.
