Can you say Cochinillo?

Indeed, I have never seen anything like it.  For those unaware, Cochinillo is a whole roasted suckling pig that takes at least a day to prepare.  Because of that, you are going to have to inform the restaurant that you would order this so they can prepare it for you.  The price of this beauty?  A whopping 4500 pesos.  It is the most expensive dish I have ever seen in my life but it is damn worth it since it also serves 8-10 people.

I have to thank my main man Ross del Rosario and the good people over at Relik Tapas Bar and Lounge.  The place started out as a bar but Chef Benjo Tuason (the owner in charge of kitchen operations) decided to use his good cooking skills to use and turn it into a family friendly restaurant.

Our gastronomic adventure was filled with awesome food thanks to the magnificent cooking of Chef Benjo Tuazon.  They also have some themed nights.  For example, Wednesdays have a retro future theme while Mondays have an open mic theme.

Oh my! This shrimp quesadillas had the makings of such a beautiful appetizer.

I love pumpkin soup so it was no surprise how I loved this cream of pumpkin soup a lot.

Their panna cotta was the perfect way to end the meal.  I salute Chef Benjo Tuason for a job well done.

This seafood and saffron paella can make you full in a hurry.  It is so delicious that I forgot who I was while eating it.

The sisig with chorizo would have been much better if it was put in a sizzling pate.  However, this version was good enough.

This hearty appetizer contained bacon strips, cheese and potatoes.  It is certainly tempting.

All of us enjoyed our drinks and we were left wanting for more.

If you are looking to party all night long or eat delicious food then you should go to Relik.  The food here is fit for a king.  Delicious indeed.
